Alison holds a degree in gerontology and spent 20 years at the YMCA, eight of them as Health & Fitness Director. Helping neighbours use the benefit they already pay for is something we take seriously.
Some restrictions apply, and classes are not included with any insurance-paid program. Call us and we'll confirm exactly what your plan covers.
Every session is 60 minutes with a certified personal trainer, and it starts with an assessment — your goals, and any limitations we should work around. The first consultation is free.
Studies put six weeks at about the minimum to build a habit. You'll leave with a plan for the workouts between sessions.
Twelve weeks builds the habit and starts showing real results — a pattern you can keep going on your own.

Ed + Alison = Edison's
Ed McCormick spent 25 years in the auto industry in Michigan before heading south. His three grown children pushed him to chase the idea, and he's certified through the NCCPT in personal training and as a weight management specialist. Pickleball, kayaking, boating, running and lifting — usually on the water if he can help it.
Alison Collins has a BA in gerontology, the study of ageing. She retired from the Wilkes Family YMCA after 20 years, eight of them as Health & Fitness Director, and has had a second home in North Myrtle Beach for 25 years.
“To be a resource in the community for those seeking an active and healthy lifestyle, and to provide a life-changing opportunity for adults who want to improve their activity levels, physical appearance and overall general health.”
And “Edison” himself is a light-bulb-lifting sock monkey, made by Ed's daughter Kristin. He's the mascot. We didn't overthink it.
